Superior Power Systems has decided to apply it's more than 20 years of industrial generator manufacturing experience to the home stand-by generator market. The result is a product unprecedented in quality, appearance and function.

HOME STAND-BY GENERATOR

Superior Power System Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches are designed to protect against short and long term power failures. The transfer switch senses and verifies the loss of utility power. The switch waits approximately 3 seconds to insure the failure is bona fide and the generator is necessary. The switch then starts the generator and transfers the load. Your home is now being powered by a state of the art, safe, and reliable power system. The generator will continue to run your basic household needs until the normal utility power is restored. The switch will track the return of Utility power for a period of approximately 5 minutes to insure stability and only then will it transfer your home back to normal power. The generator is then shut down and will continue to stand-by for the next power failure. The transfer switch will start and run the generator with no load for a period of approximately 15 minutes each week. This process monitors your generator's ability to run correctly, exercise routinely and serve you when needed. Proper maintenance is, of course, required.
